How do I connect my phone?

Install the app on your Mac, then click the menu bar icon and choose Show QR & Settings. Open the page in your browser, scan the QR code with your phone’s camera, and make sure your phone is on the same Wi‑Fi (or Tailscale) network as your Mac.

Can I use it over the internet?

Yes, if you use Tailscale on both your Mac and your phone. The app works over your Tailscale network.

Where can I get the app?

MacMote is available on the Mac App Store. You can also build from source — the project is open source.
